Our Foundation
Founded in February 1996, Custom Prefab Contractors, Inc. was established to meet a growing demand among local builders for premanufactured wall panels. Recognizing that traditional stick framing of walls and trusses is both time-consuming and labor-intensive, the founders set out to streamline the framing process.
The company began operations in a rented shop on South Avenue in North Lima, using wooden tables and miter saws to construct wall panels. At the time, stud layout was completed entirely by hand. Shortly after launching production, the company invested in a truck-mounted crane to deliver and place wall panels directly onto subfloors at job sites—an advantage over standard delivery methods.
Our Expansion
In 2003, we expanded operations by adding a roof truss production line, allowing us to offer complete truss packages alongside our wall panels. Continued growth led to a major move in 2006, when we relocated to a former lumber yard—four times the size of our original facility. The new location included three covered lumber storage buildings and the space to install a longer truss line, enabling us to fabricate trusses up to 95 feet in length.
Over the years, Custom Prefab Contractors, Inc. has grown steadily, now serving customers throughout the tri-state area with high-quality wall panels, roof trusses, and floor trusses. We are committed to using top-grade materials and paintaining rigorous quality control standards in all of our products.
